Dustin 'DJ' Eshelman:
DJ was born in Colorado Springs in 1975 to Kathy and Robert (Bob), on
Bob's birthday, actually!
They lived there until 1986 when they moved a few miles from Penrose,
CO.
Now, an interesting note about their home in Penrose is that to this
day, they are 'off the grid'- no electricity or running water.
Quite
an interesting way to spend his teenage years!
After graduating from Florence High School in 1994, DJ went on to
college at Hastings College.
At Hastings, DJ majored in both Psychology and Religion and graduated
in 1999. Oddly enough, however, DJ decided not to pursue a career
in
either of these fields, and instead pursued his interests in computers
by becoming a 'gun for hire', freelancing in various capacities from
Fort Collins until about 2004 when his career came in focus.
In 2005 DJ started working for TechSmart Solutions, a small company
that supports several small businesses and medical clinics in the
area. DJ currently serves as the Advanced Technologies Manager,
heading up projects involving Citrix, Linux and other technologies.
DJ is an active musician, having recorded three projects and produced an additional four.
DJ plays guitar, bass and drums sings whenever required (though not his preference).
DJ is also an avid motorcycle rider and outdoorsman, enjoying camping, fishing and light hiking (well, light ever since breaking his ankle in 2007). DJ enjoys shooting photos as much as guns.

Yvette (Evey) Becker:
Yvette was born in Denver, Colorado
and grew
up in the Rocky Mountain towns of Pine and Buffalo Creek.
Her parents divorced when she was around the
age of
three or four. Her mother, Cathy remarried to Steven, who had two children from a previous
marriage as well. When she was seven he
adopted her and her sister.
Steven was a Park Ranger for a recreational
park called
Pine Valley Ranch that they lived on for about 14 years, the first 10
years
where closed to the public. They had close to 900 acres of valley with
a lake
and river along with surrounding National Forest all to themselves. “Yes I was spoiled and didn’t
even know it until later in life,” Yvette says.
She grew up with horses, dogs
and a cat and still loves to horseback ride
whenever she can.
Her Dad taught her how to fish when she was
little and
it’s still one of her favorite things to do whenever she can. (Someday DJ will catch more fish, but not
anytime soon…)
She went to a public school for first and
second
grade, and then her
parents homeschooled her until she graduated from High
School.
She graduated from three colleges, all with
high
GPAs. The first was a one year Bible college called Ravencrest Chalet,
a Torchbearers
International school, a 1 year program where she received a certificate of completion.
The second was Otero Junior College where she graduated with my
Associates of General Studies, mostly art.
And the third was Aims
Community College where in one year she graduated with a certificate of
Graphic
Technology Pre-Press Option.
Thanks to some of her schooling she was able
to
enter a few art competitions and win awards as well as sell a few
drawings,
paintings and
photographs. She also had the opportunity while attending Aims to
design three
snow board designs that are still being sold online at mysnowboard.org.
Not the
greatest, but it was fun.
She loves working with middle through college
age
kids. She has had the opportunity to be a youth leader, counselor and
teacher
in camps, churches and youth groups since she was a pre-teen.
It’s been at a
stand still for a couple of years, but she hopes to get involved again
soon.
Yvette
currently works at
The Supply Cache as their graphic designer.
They supply gear for wildland firefighters. She is responsible for ads, catalogs and their
website. |
